Two downtown buildings are “lit up” with Gigabit speeds
High Point, NC—October 7, 2015—North State announced today the availability of Fiber Internet in two multi-tenant buildings in downtown Greensboro. This is a step forward in North State’s plan to expand its fiber optic network throughout Greensboro and the Triad as it adds to the growing number of locations activated with Gigabit-speed Internet. The fiber-ready buildings are located at 100 S. Elm Street and 125 S. Elm Street.
Many businesses still operate with an average speed of 10–25 Mbps. Upgrading to North State’s Fiber Internet will make speeds in these locations up to 100 times faster than what tenants experience today.
“As we enable businesses to efficiently take advantage of the Internet,” said Royster Tucker III, Chief Executive Officer of North State, “we feel it’s important to ensure our local cities and businesses are receiving the full benefits and capabilities available via fiber technology. With Fiber Internet, users will experience speed and reliability far superior to what is generally available. Better still, they are effectively “future proofing” their Internet service since bandwidth limitations are effectively eliminated.”
